We do AKC Horseback Field Trials and also train and handle Hunt Test dogs (pointing breeds).

Taking the dogs to run in a field trial is the culmination of months of hard work for trainer and dog.  Now the dog gets to use what he has learned. 

There are two seasons of field trials, spring and fall.  We go to as many as possible, this is the payoff for owner and trainer. 

Our summer training camp is located in the mountains of Lassen County. Training at 5000' feet elevation means cooler temperatures, and turns out dogs with super endurance. Another plus is the absence of foxtails, a hazard well known on the west coast. We train in a safe environment that ensures optimal results.

Bob has been raising and training hunting and field trial dogs since the early 1960's. His methods have proven to be quite satisfactory. He spends lots of "yard" time teaching the dogs basic commands so they will be ready to go into the field to complete their training.
