We train hunting dogs year round.   They learn basic commands and are then ready for bird work.  They are trained on a variety of terrain and with different kinds of upland game birds.  The finished product can handle them and is steady to wing .  Retrieving breeds are also taught basic commands, and the  procedure that is compatible with their breeds.   For example, Labs are taught to flush birds rather than hold a point.
